I had no idea if it was a scam. After reviewing everything, I called him back anyways asking questions about how my bill got so high and how Verizon pretty much fucked me over. He explained collection fees that Verizon, themselves, add on (rediculous) and also early term fees, and what I didn't know--I was charged early term fees because when I upgraded for my annual upgrade it renewed my contract for another 2 years (which Verizon didn't explain to me at all). I wanted to just settle the fuckin bill, but after he explained what that would look like on my credit I agreed to pay the whole thing. Now it's 3 months later and my credit already has been updated and I'm better off now. Very nice young man and I believe these people are just doing their jobs and if you actually rationalize with them-they'll help you..take it from someone who actually sees the difference when you do that.

I came across this site after I recieved a call from Matt at Miracle Financial and googled reviews. There is no way that the people at Miracle would swear at anyone because when I talked to the rep he told me that their calls are recorded. I was also told that they ask to verify the last 4 numbers of your social security number because that is what Verizon Wireless tells them to do. I also asked the man if they are debt buyers and he said no and that they work for Verizon. They are only people doing their jobs too. I asked for a settlement and was given 50% off my bill. Maybe if you try talking to them nicely they will work with you too.

I have had personal experience with Miracle Financial and alot of what is said here is untrue. They finally shut it down, but added an additional amount of over $400.00. Then Scumbag Nelson, a scavenger debt collector started calling me every day to try to shake me down.
HOW IS IT LEGAL FOR CREDIT CARD COMPANIES AND OTHER LENDERS TO PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO SCAVENGER DEBT COLLECTORS? AS I UNDERSTAND IT, THE SCAVENGERS CAN ACCESS YOUR INFORMATION TO BEGIN THE COLLECTION PROCESS FOR JUST PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR. ISN'T THE RISK BUILT IN TO THE HIGH RATES YOU PAY FOR CREDIT CARDS, AND HOW IS IT ETHICAL OR JUSTIFIABLE FOR THE SCAVENGER WHO HAS PAID $00.01 ON THE DOLLAR TO COLLECT THE FULL AMOUNT ISSUED BY THE PRIMARY CREDITOR AND KEEP IT ALL? THE PRIMARY CREDITOR FOR EXAMPLE, LITERALLY SOLD THE WRITTEN OFF DEBT FOR $100.00, THE SCAVENGE COLLECTS $5000.00, PLUS FEES AND INTEREST. THEY CAN TAKE YOU TO COURT, CALL YOUR EMPLOYER, FRIENDS, NEIGHBORS, AND FAMILY MEMBERS TO EMBARRASS YOU. THEY CAN GARNISH YOUR WAGES AND PLACE LIENS ON YOUR PROPERTY. THAT'S IS THE SAME AS IF I FIND YOUR WALLET, PICK IT UP USING 1% OF MY ENERGY TO DO IT, AND CLAIM IT IS MINE BECAUSE I HAVE A 1% INTEREST FOR PICKING IT UP. WHO WRITES AND APPROVES THESE FINANCIAL LAWS? I WANT THEIR NAMES, AND JUST WHO IT IS THEY CLAIM TO REPRESENT!

Verizon was scheduled to turn off my phone on February 6, 2011. Confirmed with Verizon Wireless no balance due and no account in my name. Forwarding copy of letter and my response to Verizon Wireless Fraud Dept. Sending letter to Miracle Financial, Inc. at both addresses: 52 Armstrong Rd. Plymouth MA 02360 and P.O. Box 505 Linden MI 48451. Not responding to their directions to call (866)789-5557 or to their "SECURE" website www.paymfi.com to enter my "UNIQUE ACCESS CODE", even Verizon Wireless representative said "does not sound legitimate." Will update on results. Still believe in the old fashioned strongly but professionally worded written letter to back up the phone calls - call me old fashioned -- on the way to mailbox now.

Just received letter from Miracle Financial, Inc. saying I owe $43.94 for Verizon Wireless Bill. I could easily pay Miracle, but would rather see my credit score plummet than pay them one red cent !

all I have to say is this: Miracle Financial called my mother in law and swore at her, and then refused to speak with me when I returned their call and told them I took issue with my mother in law being referred to as a “rude bitch” . They were billing me for months after I disconnected service and for the time I had another provider. I found out this was because the rep I spoke to that was supposed to disconnect my services only disconnected the phone service, but left the cable and internet on. I had no idea because I had another provider already. Well, long story short, after letters and numerous calls to Verizon I had to go to the Board of Public Utilities. They had someone from Verizon call me and they finally knew what I was talking about and agreed to remove the double billing. The kicker is they now have it on my credit report as written off uncollectible debt and its on the negative side of my credit report!!! It will now take me another year of paperwork and phone calls to get that corrected. I will never have any service with Verizon again. Terrific products, but no assistance when yo uhave any problems at all!!!!!

Verizon is notorious for horrendous customer service!!!
