From what I understand coffee is actually good for a migraine.
I have also heard that cheddar cheese, red wine, and milk chocolate are all causes of migraines for many people.
When I think I am getting one, I turn off the lights, the TV, etc. and just lay down in a dark quiet room. I have heard that a cold towel on your head helps and rubbing your temples to relieve the stress.

I get terrible migraines but they don’t last for more than a day.
